Owikeno Conservancy
Owikeno Conservancy was established as part of the government’s land use decision for the Central Coast planning area. This conservancy protects several tributaries of the largest fjord lake on coastal British Columbia, which is known for its high sockeye salmon values and its seasonal habitat values for grizzly bears. The conservancy also protects extensive cultural heritage values.
