Woodworth Lake Conservancy
Woodworth Lake Conservancy is located on the North Coast in the traditional territories of the Lax Kw'alaams and Metlakatla Nations. The conservancy was created in 2008 and covers 4,436 hectares.
Woodworth Lake Conservancy
Woodworth Lake Conservancy was established as part of the government’s land use decision for the North Coast planning area. The conservancy contains the entire watershed of the Shawatlan River, including Woodworth, Shawatlan and Mahlon lakes.
The Woodworth Lake conservancy protects the domestic water supply for the City of Prince Rupert and locally important salmon spawning grounds.
