Gamble Creek Ecological Reserve
Gamble Creek Ecological Reserve is located on the North Coast in the traditional territories of the Lax Kw'alaams and Metlakatla Nations. The ecological reserve was created in 1991 and covers 1,026 hectares.
Gamble Creek Ecological Reserve
Ecological Reserves are areas in British Columbia selected to preserve representative and special natural ecosystems, plant and animal species, features, and phenomena. Ecological Reserves provide the highest level of protection for the maintenance of physical and biological diversity while allowing for research and educational activities.
Gamble Creek Ecological Reserve was established to protect representative north-coastal forest stands and bog vegetation for research on tree species and ecosystem classification.
