Duke of Edinburgh Ecological Reserve
Duke of Edinburgh Ecological Reserve is located on the South-Central Coast in the traditional territory of the Gwa'sala-'Nakwaxda'xw Nation. The ecological reserve was created in 1988 and covers 660 hectares.

Duke of Edinburgh Ecological Reserve
Ecological Reserves are areas in British Columbia selected to preserve representative and special natural ecosystems, plant and animal species, features, and phenomena. Ecological Reserves provide the highest level of protection for the maintenance of physical and biological diversity while allowing for research and educational activities.
Duke of Edinburgh (Pine/Storm/Tree Islands) Ecological Reserve was established to protect the largest seabird nesting colony in the Queen Charlotte Strait.
