Coast Funds Presents New Strategic Plan for 2026-2028
Our new Strategic Plan outlines priorities for the next three years, with a renewed focus on service delivery, community engagement, and organizational resilience.
Coast Funds’ board and staff team is proud to share our 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, which will guide our team’s work in service of First Nations’ goals for conservation, stewardship, and community prosperity.
“With our new Strategic Plan, Coast Funds is strengthening its commitment to community engagement and to working in partnership with First Nations to understand challenges, invest in community-led projects, and share what we’ve learned along the way,” says Dallas Smith, Chair of Coast Funds’ board of directors. “First Nations are rebuilding the coastal economy and shaping investments in conservation and stewardship, which are creating new opportunities in the communities we serve. The next three years are going to be so exciting.”
In developing the 2026-2028 Strategic Plan, our board of directors and senior leadership team reflected on what we’ve achieved in partnership with First Nations – closing the Great Bear Sea PFP, financing economic development and sustainable energy projects, sharing knowledge through publications and gatherings – and sought input from First Nation leaders and partners on what they’d like to see from us over the next three years.
First Nations are rebuilding the coastal economy and shaping investments in conservation and stewardship, which are creating new opportunities in the communities we serve. The next three years are going to be so exciting.
Through this process, leaders and partners underscored the importance of our service relationships and identified opportunities for us to deepen engagement and knowledge sharing, attract new funds, increase organizational resilience, and build on our shared successes.
“With the signing of the Great Bear Sea PFP agreements and related commitments, we’ve tripled the funding that Coast Funds manages for First Nations, and we’ve invested in the team, systems, and office capacity needed to support our growing mandate,” says Eddy Adra, Coast Funds CEO. “Our new strategic plan reflects that growth and the responsibility that comes with it. Over the next three years, we’ll be reinforcing Coast Funds’ organizational foundations and deepening engagement with participating First Nations to support meaningful collaboration.”
Strategic Goals
